Blue Ocean Strategy Simulation

What is "Blue Ocean Strategy Simulation" (BOSS)?
Based on the Blue Ocean Strategy concept, BOSS is a business simulation program that enables participants to acquire the required skills to lead innovative strategies.
The objective of this program is to learn how to "Create Uncontested Market Space and Make the Competition Irrelevant" for any business activity.
The simulation offers the opportunity to assess the management skills and the creativity of the participant in a real and risk-free environment.

Working Methodology
The participants work in teams of 3 to manage a virtual consumer company. The aim is to maximize the company stock price index through a series of 9 key decision making session.

Participant profile
  • Senior Managers, Managers, Heads of department/brand who want to develop their business through creativity and innovation.
  • Number of participant: 24 participants.

Key Learning Points
Participants will tackle different spheres of strategy and business development

  • Understand the outcomes of decision making process, including R&D, geographical expansion, segmentation, product development
  • Emphasize on the innovative aspect of a product life cycle and think of strategy as reconstruction - growing the industry and the demand.
  • Reach for non-customers rather than just focusing on existing ones and acquire new methodologies in pursuit of strategy implementation.
  • Analyse the outcome of the decisions in real time and learn from the best and worst strategies.

Furthermore, participants will develop their management skills by:
  • Exercising their leadership and working under pressure by submitting each decision in a limited time.
  • Working on communication skills towards their colleagues and focusing on team work/ team building.
